ORNAMENT CONTEST

As is tradition, the students of the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (ArqPoli) show their Christmas spirit  during the annual editions of the Christmas Decorations Contest. The students demonstrate their creativity and design skills by making ornaments created by themselves. The requirements include having a maximum size of 5 "by 5" by 5 ", and the ornaments must be able to hang from the branches of the tree. Then a jury composed of different teachers determine who is the winner.

THIRD PLACE, 2013

In 2013 I designed a Christmas Ornament thinking about how the idea of a design suddenly shines in the minds of an architecture students and how we let that creativity fly while working, this represented by a light wrapped in white artificial feathers.

FIRST PLACE, 2015

In 2015 in collaboration with Daniel E. Valentín and in commemoration of the 20 year anniversary of the architecture school, we made twenty pieces that make up the ornament, the design resembles the "mat building" that expands with added spaces constantly.
